Words of the author at the end of his initial email to me back in 2018 when he first sent me this story that I want to include here: “There are a lot of treatment facilities and programs for drug and alcohol abuse, most are very expensive. But the program with the greatest success percentage by far is AA, and it doesn't cost a dime. I've been straight since 2006.”
